Synaptic Misfirings of an unpublished author

MyHeritage.com are offering free face recognition, comparing your face to those of celebrities. With glasses I look like Wilbur Wright. Without, I look like Enya, Antonio Banderas and Ava Gardener.
Yeah, I'm gonna start wearing contacts.

Been a little uninspired lately. That's not why I haven't been blogging, the only reason I haven't blogged is because I've been lazy. No, my uninspiration has no specific reason, I just feel like the container of ambrosia that previously leaked out of my fingers onto the page, forming into wondrous metaphor that came alive in the minds of the reader, has been replaced with a cholostomy bag.

That's how I feel, anyway. Looking back, the words I am writing now are technically no worse than the words I have written before. But this fact does not improve my mood in any way, even though I know it should.

The solution is simple, as all solutions should be: I just have to write to burn through it. Still doesn't make my life any easier, and I'm finding it harder and harder to motivate myself to start writing every time I try. And the coffee shop I normally write at, Cafe Aroma in Worcester, UK (who are totally not sponsoring me), is closed until early January.

I've also had trouble just getting up in the morning - the motivation is there, but every time I set my alarm it seems to go off slap-bang in the middle of either REM or deep sleep, the two times it's hardest to get up, and I end up going back to sleep. I can get up fine if I have to go somewhere, but otherwise I'm constantly failing myself.

Polyphasic Sleep sounds really interesting. If I had a schedule with enough flexibility I'd consider it. And according to Steve Pavlina, I'd have to give up coffee and become a vegan, sooo...

No. I like my caffeine and fish carcasses, thankyouverymuch.
